The Mercedes-Benz Championship, the season-opening event of the PGA TOUR, is scheduled for the week of January 5 - 11, 2009. Eligible PGA TOUR professionals competing in the 2009 event include the champions from the 2008 season. This unique field of approximately 36 professionals will compete on The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort for the first title of the 2009 season.

• One entry in the 36-hole Mercedes-Benz Championship All-Amateur Tournament, Sunday, January 4, at The Plantation Course and Monday, January 5 at The Bay Course
• One entry in the 18-hole Mercedes-Benz Championship Pro-Am, Wednesday, January 7 at The Plantation Course
• Up to two complimentary golf rounds at The Bay Course January 3 - 11, 2009
• Invitation for two to the Pro-Am Draw Party on Monday, January 5
• Invitation for two to the Gala Party on Friday, January 9
• Invitation for two to the Champion's Reception immediately following the awards presentation
• Admittance for two to the exclusive Mercedes-Benz Championship Hospitality Tent (in The Plantation House Restaurant) January 7 - 11, serving a breakfast and lunch buffet
• Admittance for two to the Mercedes-Benz Championship exclusive skybox seating on the 18th green of The Plantation Course
