What is the maximum group size?
Currently we offer trips with a maximum group size of 8 passengers. If you have a group with larger proportions please contact our Reservations Department for alternatives, customization of programs is a favorite assignment of our team.

Do you offer private excursions?
Certainly, you can purchase tours on a private charter basis or blocks of tours if you prefer a longer experience on the Mountain.

My friends want to come but aren't purchasing a tour. Is there a place for them to watch?
Currently we are unable to accomadate additional guests on our tour.

Are there age restrictions?
Yes - minimum age is 10 years old.

What are the weight restrictions?
Minimum 60 lbs. Maximum 250 lbs.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Guests under the age of 19 will need a guardian's signature.

Do I need to make a reservation?
Strongly recommended.

Why do I need to check in 45 minutes prior to the tour?
We ask that you check in at the Kapalua Adventure Center 45 minutes prior to your tour to ensure enough time for preparations. We need all parties to sign waivers and review equipment and details of the tour.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to tour departure will be charged full tour price. "No shows" will also be charged full tour price. Charges will be applied to the credit card provided.

Kapalua Adventures reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, foreseeable hazards, insufficient bookings, or events beyond our control. In these events, full refunds will be made or alternative dates offered.

Do you have a trainer zip line?
YES. The Trainer Zipline is like the bunny hill, it gives guests an opportunity to learn about zipping before heading onto the course.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes

What should I wear?
Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and don't mind getting dirty. Closed toe hiking or athletic shoes are required. Weather can change quickly so layering clothing and rain gear is often a good idea. Kapalua Adventure Center has a few rain jackets available to use during the tour if needed.

What are the health, safety and physical requirements?
Those with heart conditions or high blood pressure should consult a physician. Not recommended for those who have a fear of heights, experience dizziness, seizures, or any other physical impairments, customers should be prepared for light physical exertion-negotiating stairs and some walking.

Are tours cancelled due to weather?
Adventures Tours run rain or shine however cancellations may occur during high winds. In these events, full refunds will be made or alternative dates offered.

What is a Unimog?
A Unimog is an open-air, all-terrain biodiesel Mercedes that transports you (and up to 19 other adventure seekers) up to the Mountain Outpost. The 20-minute ride travels through organic pineapple fields, with sweeping views of West Maui and the Pacific Ocean.

What is a Zipper Lifter?
Think "zipline meets chairlift". It lifts you 3,000 linear feet to the starting point of the highest lines, moving everyone along efficiently and effortlessly.
