LOCATION:
The Kapalua Resort is a 23,000-acre master-planned resort community set amidst Maui’s only working pineapple plantation on the northwest coast. Kapalua Resort is nestled between the sapphire reaches of the Pacific and the emerald mountains of West Maui. The neighboring island of Moloka‘i can be seen across any of the three bays of Kapalua Resort. The resort is lined with century-old Cook pines and surrounded by a vast green sanctuary encompassing two immense nature preserves – from the top of Pu‘u Kukui Preserve, the highest peak in the West Maui Mountains, to the edge of the Pacific Ocean adjacent to the Honolua Bay Marine Life Conservation District. The resort is renowned for its three championship golf courses; a full-service tennis complex managed by Peter Burwash International; ten residential communities; premier hotel; condominium vacation rentals; three white sand beaches; and a myriad of restaurants and shops.

Kapalua Resort is located 32 miles from the Kahului International Airport and 10 miles north of historic Lahaina. RESORT AMENITIES:
Two Championship Golf Courses
The Bay Course
is a par-72, 6,600-yard layout designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane. The ocean course rolls gently to the sea with all putts breaking to the neighbor island of Moloka‘i. The Bay Course signature hole #5 requires driving over Oneloa Bay to a small green protected by bunkers.

The Plantation Course is a tournament par-73, 7,411-yard links course. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course unfurls across natural geographic formations and pineapple fields with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Home of the season-opening PGA TOUR SBS Championships each January.

Kapalua Golf Academy
The Kapalua Golf Academy was designed in conjunction with senior PGA TOUR professional, Hale Irwin and offers a unique state-of-the-art golf facility unmatched in Hawai‘i. The facility features 85,000 square feet of grass teeing area, several practice putting greens, greenside and fairway bunkers, an 18-hole putting course, a minimum of eight target greens and specialty short game area. The Kapalua Golf Academy also features a 3,500-square foot learning center housing classroom instruction, a digital video bay and a strength and flexibility area. A teaching staff of over 25 PGA professionals is available to guide students through casual or intensive instruction.

Kapalua Resort Tennis
The Tennis Garden, managed by Peter Burwash International, is a world-class facility staffed by PBI tennis professionals that offer year-round tennis programs for players of all levels. The Tennis Garden features 10 plexi-pave courts, with four lit for night play, individualized instruction for adult and junior players, tennis fitness program, 21 scheduled weekly events, monthly special events, annual tennis tournaments, matchmaking services and a full-service pro shop.

Kapalua Spa Opens this Summer
Relax and rejuvenate at the brand new Kapalua Spa, slated to open its doors this summer. Once, complete the indoor-outdoor facility will be Hawaii’s second largest Spa, paying tribute to the healing properties of water. The natural beauty of Kapalua is brought into its 19 treatment rooms, including 10 outdoor hale. Stone soaking tubs and dual treatment space for couples are nestled among tropical gardens. Relaxation lounges showcase stunning panoramic views of the ocean and Moloka‘i island and feature sauna and steam rooms, cold rainfall and whirlpool. In addition to a saline lap pool with sunning deck, the facility offers a full-service salon, juice bar and retail boutique. For those who want to get in a workout post-massage, the spa also offers a full fitness facility, including free weights, cardio, circuit training and kinesis training equipment as well as a yoga/flex wellness studio with hot yoga capabilities to keep your body toned and trim.

Ala Hele Kapalua or “Heritage Trail”

A self-guided walking tour offers Kapalua Resort visitors a lesson in Hawaiian history and Kapalua Resort’s rich cultural heritage. Eleven monuments marking historical points of interest loop through the resort starting with the Honolua Store, one of the oldest buildings in the area, and The Kapalua Villas Reception Center, which was once known as the Honolua Plantation Office. Other markers include the Hawaiian Camp, Kumulani Chapel, Honokahua, Oneloa Bay, Kapalua Bay, D.T. Fleming Aloe Patch, Mango Grove, Cook Pine Trees, Maka‘oi‘oi, Butterfly Hill and the Japanese Camp.

Water Activities
Resort water activities include fresh-water swimming pools at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua; ten fresh-water swimming pools throughout The Kapalua Villas properties; and three white sand beaches: Oneloa Bay and two of "America's Best Beaches" as named by Dr. Beach, D.T. Fleming Beach and Kapalua Bay. Rental equipment and instructional programs are available for windsurfing, scuba, kayaking, diving and snorkeling.

Hiking and Outdoor Adventures
Several exclusive hikes are offered into the majestic West Maui Mountains and Kapalua Resort area. One of the most popular is the hike and kayak combinations. Guests explore the Nakalele coastline along breathtaking sea cliffs and erupting blowholes. The second half of the excursion takes guests kayaking along the West Maui coastline navigating in and out several volcanic coves.

Hawaiian Cultural Programs
Kapalua Resort embraces the Hawaiian culture and is proud to share the history and traditions through daily programs offered at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, and The Kukui Room at Honolua Village Center. The monthly Resort Activities newsletter provides a Hawaiian culture and entertainment schedule that includes “A Sense of Place,” Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert Series and The Legend of Kaulula’au at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, as well as classes in Hawaiian quilt making, lei making, ukulele and slack key guitar, and traditional Hawaiian hula.

Kapalua Adventures Mountain Outpost & Adventure Center
Kapalua Adventures offers unique adventure experiences from mountain to the sea. Established in 1975, Kapalua Realty is a full service agency specializing in the sale and listing of Kapalua Resort properties and is the only real estate company located on the resort. It is managed by Kapalua Land Company, Ltd., the resort developer located on the resort and open 365 days a year.

Honolua Ridge I and Honolua Ridge II
The final phase of the gated Plantation Estates at Kapalua, each community has 25 agricultural homesites, ranging from three to thirty acres, perched high above Honolua Bay and adjacent to the award-winning Plantation Golf Course. These exclusive communities contain the largest homesites ever offered at the Kapalua Resort. KAPALUA RESORT CONDOMINIUMS:

The Bay Villas are a shoreline cluster of 141 one- and two-bedroom oceanfront condominiums fronting Oneloa Bay. Community recreational facilities include three swimming pools with barbecue areas and two private tennis courts.

Coconut Grove is situated on 12 acres fronting Kapalua Bay. This private gated community is comprised of nine classic buildings each housing four luxurious residences. Four unique three-bedroom floor plans are offered and range in size from approximately 2,500 to 2,900 square feet of gross living area.

The Golf Villas, located on approximately 15.8 acres, overlook the fairways of The Bay Course to the neighboring islands of Lanai and Moloka‘i with the breathtaking sunsets. There are 186 one- and two-bedroom air-conditioned villas including four swimming pools, each with gas barbecues.
